Massachusetts visual and performing artists, arts administrators and other creative professionals -

Don't miss this informative health care seminar co-sponsored by ARTMORPHEUS and StageSource, in partnership with the Boston Center for the Arts. The seminar is being offered by The Actors Fund’s Artists Health Insurance Resource Center (AHIRC) and Health Care for All (HCFA).

The seminar will address how artists can benefit from recent health care reform. You will learn how to evaluate your current coverage, and whether there’s a better plan or program for you. The seminar will be followed by a Q&A and individual consultations. All information is comprehensive and unbiased, with no commercial or political sponsors.

SEMINAR TOPICS:

· Understanding health care reform

· Applying for government programs

· Finding affordable health insurance and health care

· Addressing issues particular to the self-employed

The Actors Fund’s Artists Health Insurance Resource Center promotes full access to quality, affordable health care and health care coverage for artists and entertainers. The information is comprehensive and unbiased, with no commercial or political sponsors.  

Health Care for All (HCFA) seeks to create a consumer-centered health care system that provides comprehensive, affordable, accessible, culturally competent, high quality care and consumer education for everyone, especially the most vulnerable. They work to achieve this as leaders in public policy, advocacy, education and service to consumers in Massachusetts. Their HelpLine fields 35,000 health care coverage inquiries from Mass. residents each year.

The Boston Center for the Arts (BCA) is a not-for-profit performing and visual arts complex that supports working artists to create, perform and exhibit new works; develops new audiences; and connects the arts to community.
